Ashleigh Barber joined Field Strategies in December 2007 as political assistant to Matt Schneider. Primarily, she manages day-to-day operations for Field Strategies and provides support to senior staff.
In addition to her administrative duties, Ashleigh spent much of 2008 and 2009 in the field contributing her organizing talents to creating and implementing statewide, municipal, state legislative, issue-advocacy and Congressional field plans for over 20 candidates and 4 labor unions in 12 states. Born and raised in Louisville, KY, she got her start in politics working as a Recruiter on the successful campaign to elect Gov. Steve Beshear in her home state.
Before joining Field Strategies, Ashleigh was a campus organizer and soccer coach for disadvantaged youth. Ashleigh received degrees in English and International Peace Studies from the University of Notre Dame.
