Matt Schneider is the co-founder and managing partner of Field Strategies, a political consulting firm with national reach.  For 12 years Field Strategies has helped the campaign industry redefine standards of voter contact, message delivery and voter turnout.

The hundreds of organizers who work for Field Strategies are united by the cultural belief that we can always do better: what we learn Tuesday is incorporated into operations on Wednesday rather than waiting for the next campaign.  We maintain the integrity of field programs by providing a model that is not boilerplate: our client’s budgets are spent on operations that are specifically tailored to meet their needs.

Recently Field Strategies has brought this campaign culture to a number of projects for progressive organizations, unions and winning campaigns including:

  • Mayor Mitch Landrieu, New Orleans, LA
  • Mayor Jerramiah Healy, Jersey City, NJ
  • Mayor Alex Blanco, Passaic, NJ
  • Service Employees International Union
  • Laborers’ International Union of North America
  • American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (Kasim Reed for Mayor)
  • United Auto Workers
  • Our Community Votes

In 2008, Field Strategies led the field efforts to successfully pass a statewide ballot initiative in Maryland and elect numerous Democrats to Congress including:

  • Sen. Frank Lautenberg, (D-NJ)
  • Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick (AZ-01)
  • Rep. Harry Mitchell (AZ-05)
  • Rep. Jim Himes (CT-04)
  • Rep. Donna Edwards (MD-04)
  • Rep. Larry Kissell (NC-08)
  • Rep. John Adler (NJ-03)
  • Rep. Kathy Dahlkemper (PA-03)
  • Rep. Andre Carson (IN-07, March Special Election)

Matt also ran successful campaigns to elect Gov. Steve Beshear (D-KY) in 2007, Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) in 2006, and Governor Corzine in 2005. Matt spent 2004 working with America Coming Together (ACT) and Voting is Power (VIP). In the first half of that year he led the Field Strategies team‘s execution of a voter registration program for ACT and VIP resulting in over 240,000 new voters in key swing states including Missouri, Oregon and Florida.
